NONGPOH: A 40-year-old woman hanged herself at her residence at Pahamsyiem village on Thursday night, a day before the concluding ceremony of the silver jubilee celebrations of Ri Bhoi district.
Police said the woman was identified a Memorial Lyngdoh. The deceased had also taken part in a group folk song competition at the silver jubilee celebrations held at NSCA Mini Stadium here on Tuesday.
Police are still investigating the case to find out the reason behind the suicide.
