Behdeinkhlam holiday
The DC, West Jaintia Hills has declared July 14 and July 24, as local holidays on account of Behdeinkhlam festival in Jowai and Tuber, respectively.
GST seminar cancelled
The Commissionerate of Goods and Services Tax (Central) has informed that the seminar on GST which was scheduled to be held at Moreau Institute of Integral Training on June 23 has been cancelled as due to sudden exigencies the Union Minister of State for Finance, Santosh Kumar Gangwar is unable to attend the programme.
Blood camp
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Shillong City District Unit, will organise a blood donation camp at Assam Kristi Kendra near St. Peter’s School, Dhankheti from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on June 23 to celebrate “Balidan Diwas” in memory of (L) Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
Eid-Ul-Fitr
The Mohammadia-Al-Hussainee Mosque Committee has informed that the Eid-Ul-Fitr congregational prayer will be held at 9 am on June 26 (subject to the sighting of the moon) on the mosque premises.
The Shillong Muslim Union also informed that Eid Ul Fitr prayer will be held on June 26.
