SHILLONG: The UDP on Saturday received the resignation letter of it’s MDC HS Shylla , but the party has taken a serious note of the frequent defections of the party MDCs .
The UDP general secretary, Jemino Mawthoh said that the party will meet to discuss the resignation letter of Shylla and also the shifting loyalties of the party MDCs.
“What we see in KHADC is a comedy of errors with elected representatives of the Council changing parties and loyalties which is shameful”, Mawthoh said.
Commenting on the party MDCs, who had also changed sides, the UDP leader said that there is a need to take stern action against those who do not have any principles in politics. “There should be some morality in politics and the party will meet to assess the stand of UDP MDCs to certain issues in KHADC before taking action against them”, Mawthoh added.
