SHILLONG: There are allegations that exorbitant fee is being collected at the Laitumkhrah parking lot.
The affected persons informed that an LMV private vehicle is charged Rs. 30 for an hour instead of the official rate of Rs. 10.
Another allegation is that in most cases, the collectors do not issue receipts.
A resident of Pohkseh, who often visits the Laitunkhrah Municipal Market said the parking arrangement at the multilevel parking lot at MUDA complex in Police Bazar where vehicles are issued receipts and the amount is collected on the basis of time they take, needs to be emulated in Laitumkhrah.
