JOWAI: The driver of a school bus was arrested for raping a minor in West Jaintia Hills. According to police, as per the FIR received from the relatives of victim, the 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted several times by Timor Sawian (45) of Mawlong Sohra who is currently a resident of St Francis convent, Mowkyndang.
The accused who is the bus driver of St. Dominic Secondary School was arrested under POCSO act.
One stabbed
Police received an FIR from Dapmon Timing of Barato village that on July 2 around 8:30 PM, one Promus Biam of the same village stabbed him with a knife at Pdeinkarot under Barato C village.
The accused is yet to be arrested.
