SHILLONG: Suspended Congress leader and KHADC CEM, PN Syiem, has decided to take more time before finally deciding to leave the Congress.
Syiem said by July-August, he would shift his political affiliation.
“There are some more works to be done as CEM and legislator and then I will quit the party,” Syiem said on Tuesday.
The Congress had earlier suspended Syiem for three years and this will deprive him from seeking re-election from the party from Mawsynram constituency, which he currently represents.
Syiem is set to join the PDF which will be projected as an alternate regional party.
Earlier, KHADC MDC from Nongkrem HS Shylla joined PDF and claimed that many MDCs and MLAs are keen to join the newly formed party’s fold.
