Financial Assistance to Vas/NGOs/SHGs

SHILLONG: Proposals are invited from Voluntary Agencies (VAs)/Non-Government Organizations (NGOs)/Self-Help Groups (SHGs) hailing from East Jaintia Hills District for consideration of financial assistance from the Voluntary Action Fund (VAF) of Planning Department, Government of Meghalaya in accordance with the approved guidelines, an official communique issued here informed.
Assistance under this scheme shall include only the following activities, namely; short-term training/programme and short-term workshops/seminars of socio economic importance.
The financial assistance is to be sanctioned to the VAs/NGOs/SHGs will depend on the merit and nature of the scheme. The proposals of VAs/NGOs/SHGs shall be scrutinized by the district-level empowered committee and the decision of the committee will be final.
The formats/application forms for submission of proposals can be obtained from the office of the District Planning Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.
Interested VAs/NGOs/SHGs are to submit their proposals along with the details of the scheme and relevant documents to the office of the District Planning Officer, East Jaintia Hills District on or before July 20, 2017. No proposals will be entertained after the fixed date as mentioned here.
