SHILLONG: The Khasi Students Union, South West Khasi Hills District unit, on Thursday submitted a reminder to the Health and Family Welfare Minister, Roshan Warjri demanding restoration of the Wakhaji Primary Health Centre (PHC).

The NGO also lamented the delay in the construction of a sanctioned 100-bed Community Health Centre (CHC) at Mawkyrwat. The NGO also asked the Government to take measures to speed up the process of assigning more staff to the CHC at Ranikor.

The group has further demanded upgradation of Nonghyllam sub-centre to the level of a Primary Health Centre.
