New Delhi: Chiefs of Staff Committee chairman Admiral Sunil Lanba on Friday hosted a farewell banquet for President Pranab Mukherjee who demits office on July 24.
The banquet was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, outgoing Vice President Hamid Ansari, Defence Minister Arun Jaitely and Army chief General Bipin Rawat, among others, an Army official said.
The President is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Navy chief Lanba currently heads the powerful Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC). (PTI)
