SHILLONG: Myntri of Nongkhlaw clan, J Nongklhaw, who was suspended by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, has claimed that as per the rectified gazette order that was issued on July 13 by the District Council Affairs department, he deserves to be re-instated.
Addressing reporters here on Monday , Nongkhlaw said that all together 41 words were wrongly printed in the Mylliem Act which has now been rectified and published in the new gazette order July 13 this year.
He said that the word Nongkhlaw which was mistakenly printed has now been rectified to Nongkhlaw Rgni. He said, “The council removed me as the Myntri since the word ‘Rgni’ was missing in Mylliem Act but after going through all the details , we found out that in the original Bill the word Rngi is present,” he said
He further urged the District Council and the Syiem of Hima Mylliem to streamline the issue as per the rectified Mylliem Act which has been published in the Meghalaya Gazette to avoid confusion.
