General meet
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association, East Khasi Hills District will hold its general meeting at Savio Hall (Opposite Lorreto School, Dhanketi) on August 12 at 11 am.

Intl Youth Day
As part of the observation of the International Youth Day, the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society will organise a street play at Police Bazar on Friday and the State Level Observation on Saturday with activities like b-boying, 3 on 3 basketball challenge, rapid fire, talent show, performance by Meghalaya Icon 6 winners and others at St. Edmunds College from 9:30 am onwards.  

Cleaning drive
61 Meghalaya Girls Bn NCC, Shillong carried out a cleanliness drive in all the tehsils of Smit village. The event was coordinated by Kynsai Manik Syiem, the headman, the district committee and Col PC Pawar Commanding Officer, 250 cadets along with three Associate NCC officer and three NCOs took part in the event. Team of 50 cadets each conducted cleaning drive in each tehsil.
