Programme on POCSO & Juvenile Justice Acts held

TURA: A sensitisation programme on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 and Juvenile Justice Act 2015 was held for the students of Government Boys Secondary School, Resubelpara on Friday.
The programme was organised by the District Child Protection Unit and Social Welfare Office. It aims to sensitise the importance of POCSO & Juvenile Justice Act as the safeguarding tools in the protection of the rights of children. During the programme, S G Momin, DCPO, informed that POCSO and Juvenile Justice Acts were implemented with the objective to provide care and protection of children from sexual assault, sexual harassment, pornography and to serve as guidance to children who are in conflict with the law.
