3 greenhorns among ten names on HSPDP first list

SHILLONG: A social worker and a law graduate are among the candidates on HSPDP’s first list for 10 constituencies that was released on Thursday.
The party has named three political greenhorns – social worker Biolinda L Nonglait from Mawthadraishan constituency, law graduate Defender Pakem from Sutnga-Saipung and noted lawyer Alester Neville Diengdoh from North Shillong – on its list that also includes names of seasoned politicians.
A statement from the party said it would release the next list in the coming months.
Sitting legislators of HSPDP who will contest the Assembly elections are Phlastingwell Pangniang from Rambrai-Jyrngam, Witting Mawsor from Mawshynrut and Diosstarness Jyndiang from Nongstoin.
Two sitting MDCs who featured in the first list are Teilinia Thangkhiew (Mylliem) and Samlin Malngiang (Sohiong).
Two prominent names on HSPDP list of candidates for 2018 are Pynshai Manik Syiem from Mawphlang and Martle M Mukhim from Mawkynrew.
