Guwahati: Patriotic People’s Front Assam (PPFA) appreciates popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg for presenting a feature film based on patriotism. The forum of nationalist individuals also expressed happiness that Zubeen’s latest Assamese movie  ‘Mission China’ has experienced initial commercial success which is a rare phenomenon for Assamese movies as on  date.

Conceived, scripted, directed and also performed in the lead role by the talented artiste, the movie glorifies the patriotism among the young generation while condemning terrorism and the enemy nation.

Produced under the banner of Creation Production by Garima Saikia Garg, the film has cinematography by Suman Duwarah & Pradip Daimary and music by   Zubeen himself. Besides Zubeen, other casts include Deeplina Deka, Sattyakee D’com Bhuyan, Pabitra Rabha, Yankee Parashar, Siddhartha Nipon Goswami etc.

The PPFA observed that some anti-national elements tried their best to prevent the commercial screening of the movie, which was later overthrown by the enthusiast film-goers. Without commenting on technical qualities of the movie and also advising Zubeen to behave decently  in public places, the forum urges the young cultural personality to continue his mission glorifying the sense of patriotism.

“We would like to forward the same appeal to other film makers of the region to try their hands on commercial movies enriched with nationalism and patriotism. The  audience of Assam in particular and India in general, after getting matured with all the socio-political developments in the recent past, are also expected to support the honest productions as well,” said a PPFA statement.
