SHILLONG: Miscreants lobbed a petrol bomb at the security guards’ room at the residence of West Shillong MLA, Paul Lyngdoh from United Democratic Party (UDP) at around 5 A.M. on Monday morning. No one was injured in the incident.

MLA Lyngdoh alleged that it was clearly the handiwork of his political opponent from the Congress , Mahendra Rapsang, who wants to win in the next election by hook or crook.

He recalled that through he had contested election three occasions so far against several different opponents none of them ever indulged in such condemnable act.

He mentioned that supporters of Mahendra Rapsang recently shouted slogans like ‘0n hand’ in his locality at an odd hour of around 2 AM.

Lyngdoh said he would talk to the Deputy Commissioner of the district to inform that a Congress office at his locality remains open till 3 A.M. “We will take up the matter with the DC to regulate the timing of the Congress office,” the MLA said.
