NONGPOH: Seven occupants of a vehicle, including the driver, were injured in a car accident in Ri Bhoi district on Sunday.
A Maruti Swift (AS 01X 3656) driven by Md Riadul Hogue dashed against the barricade of NH-6 at Jyntru village in Ri Bhoi District and then turned turtle.
The incident happened while a cyclonic storm hit the area on Sunday evening.
The vehicle was bound for NEIGRIHMS, Shillong from Guwahati.
The injured were shifted to Nongpoh Civil Hospital by police.
The police have started investigation to find out the exact cause of the accident.
