SHILLONG: Aggrieved candidates for the posts of Special Force – 10 (SF-10) commandos have stated that they will take legal recourse to secure their rights.

The candidates told reporters at Additional Parking lot on Tuesday that they would approach lawyers who will file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on their behalf.

They could not meet the Home (Police) Minister in charge, HDR Lyngdoh and Principal Secretary, MS Rao on Tuesday.

It may be mentioned  that the High Court of Meghalaya  recently quashed the advertisement and recruitment process of SF-10 commandos citing anomalies carried out by the state Home Department.
