SHILLONG: The game of procrastination about his political future apparently is being continued by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM), P N Syiem.

Remaining suspended by the Congress party for three years, Syiem stated that he would decide on his political allegiance in the month of October even as it has been doing rounds that he is the leader of the regional People’s Democratic Front (PDF).

With several other political leaders in the state have shifted allegiance riding the wave in the run up to Assembly election 2018, Syiem has chosen to keep people guessing for some more time. He said, “Let me decide the party first and it will be known by October.”

He refrained from commenting on his delay in joining People’s Democratic Front (PDF) even though most its MDCs have announced that he is the leader of the party.

It was only recently that MDCs like Hadrian Lyngdoh, James Ban Basaiawmoit, HS Shylla spilled the beans that Syiem was PDF’s leader during a function to welcome 12 MDCs to PDF.
