SHILLONG: North Garo Hills police on Monday arrested Sanjib Arengh who allegedly raped a minor girl in the district on September 22.
North Garo Hills superintendent of police D. P Marak said the accused was involved in the rape of a 12-year-old girl at Rajasimla under Kharkutta police station.
He said the accused has been booked under Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act, 2012, and that five days’ police custody has been sought for the accused.
