SHILLONG: Criticisms against the ruling Congress’s non-performance have come from within the Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA-II) with one of its allies rebuking the government.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) secretary and spokesperson, Narendra Verma, said on Tuesday the electorate were not happy with the ruling party’s performance and “this is the reason why leaders are quitting”.
“You will come to know in the coming days. You will see a lot of things happening,” he added.
NCP leader Saleng Sangma ridiculed the Congress saying, “Their former ministers and MLAs are leaving. By looking at them we can judge why the congress amongst the Congress is leaving the congress. They are not satisfied with leaders and their performance, and this is the simplest way of understanding the performance of the government.”
