BJP yet to name candidate in Ri Bhoi

SHILLONG: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ri-Bhoi district has maintained that it has not zeroed in on any candidate for the allotment of party ticket for the 2018 Assembly elections.
B.B Makdoh, president of BJP Ri-Bhoi said that till date the party high command has not distributed party forms as he received information that some aspiring candidates have gone to the public claiming that they have got tickets to contest from the party.
He said that there are many who are seeking party ticket, but the party ticket will be allotted after the candidate is scrutinized.
Makdoh stated that the people can go to the public and strengthen the party instead to garner public support.
The president of BJP Ri-Bhoi pointed that the electorate in Ri-Bhoi has extended their upport to the saffron party as it has worked for the cause of the farmers and others.
