NONGPOH: With barely four months left for the state assembly polls, Patbun Syngkli, one of the young leaders of Ri Bhoi district, has decided to enter the 2018 polls from Nongpoh constituency.
He will contest from BJP and fight against sitting Congress MLA of Nongpoh and former chief minister DD Lapang.
As a prominent football player in the district and at state level, Syngkli is the local resident of Pahamsohthri village and graduated from Ri Bhoi College.
As a well-known person, he was involved in various social activities and has a deep concern for the development and prosperity of the district.
Stating his views on contesting the election from Nongpoh constituency, Syngkli said that he has several dreams to fight for the development of people in the constituency.
He said, “I want to bring a change in Nongpoh constituency”.
He further added that sectors including road, education, agriculture and uplift of sports and games are his priorities.
He said that there are several villages especially in the remotes areas of the constituency that still have no proper road or other facilities provided by the government as the local representative turned a deaf ear to their pleas.
Therefore, as candidate of BJP from Nongpoh constituency, Syngkli urged the local people of the constituency to support for the victory of BJP as it has several agendas to fulfill the dreams of the people of the constituency.
