SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party is targeting to win at least 30 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections.
UDP president, Donkupar Roy however said the party would get an idea only by December as to how many seats it would actually get. “But we will try our best to get a comfortable majority,” Roy said.
Responding to a query, Roy said the party would release its second list by the end of November even as he downplayed issues in the alliance between UDP and HSPDP.
“There are minor issues here and there and we will sort them out,” he said.
The UDP president also said the party did not see any political party, be it Congress, BJP, NPP or PDF as a threat and that it was quite optimistic about an overwhelming performance in the elections.
