IMPHAL: Renown Manipuri singer Tapta alias L. Jayenta will be on the stage next month to present his 15 songs, including two new numbers based on the recently lifted 120-day-long economic blockade on the national highways to give a message to the public that now the time is almost over for further tolerance.

Tapta, who is the first and only artiste attempting to raise voice of protest in the form of songs on various issues of Manipur, has expressed the problem and sufferings of the State in his song “Mee Manukhang” (one who tortures people beyond limit of tolerance).

The song tries to spread a message to both the State Government and those people whose option of agitation is often based in the frequent imposition of economic blockades in Manipur.

One of the songs mentions that it is the right moment to teach a lesson to bandhs, economic blockades and agitations so that future generations do not repeat them. (NNN)
