SHILLONG: There has been a spurt in theft cases with thieves getting bolder by the day, rather night, not even thinking twice before barging into the official residence of a police officer here and decamping with a few utility items.
N.K Subramaniam, IGP, Shillong lodged a complaint that on November 6 thieves broke into his quarter near Hotel Pinewood and stole an LPG cylinder and an electric iron.
A theft case in this regard was registered recently.
