SHILLONG: The NPP North Shillong Constituency Committee has said that a person identified as Don War of Mission Compound while claiming to be a member of the party is canvassing and projecting himself as the NPP candidate from North Shillong.
“This person has not approached the Constituency Committee nor has he enrolled himself as a member from the North Shillong Constituency Committee as per the provisions of the Party Constitution which mandates that internal party democracy should be maintained as directed by the rules and regulations of the Election Commission of India”, said Gordon Kharchandy, President, North Shillong Constituency Committee.
He added that only Advocate Erwin K Syiem Sutnga applied for party ticket.
