SHILLONG: A section of the students who will appear for higher secondary examinations is concerned over the time table for science papers.
Some students said though Chemistry is a major subject there is not even a day’s gap before the exam for students who have Computer Application. “This is bound to affect performance,” the students said.
According to them, for students who are taking Biology, there is adequate gap before the Chemistry exam. Some have asked MBoSE to shift the Computer Application paper to the day of Biology exam which will give a level playing field to all irrespective of subjects.
When contacted, MBoSE executive chairman Pravin Bakshi said the board can look into the matter if there is any specific complain. He also said the board always tried to ensure that the exams are not prolonged.
