Laban Week
Seng Samla Laban will hold the closing ceremony of Laban Week at Assam Club, Laban, at 11 am on December 30. Former MDC Sounder Cajee and president of Raid Laban dorbar Iostar Sunn will be the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.

Shamakami, an NGO in Shillong, in collaboration with playwright/director Dr Naomi Bhuyan, will organise a gender equality awareness programme through the play ‘Freak Fiesta’ at MUDA Indoor Shopping Complex at 4 pm on Saturday. The play aims to generate sensitivity towards the LGBT and especially the transgender community and will focus on their struggle and hardship.
Event
Sein Raij Niamtre Shillong will organise a function at Soso Tham Auditorium on Saturday to commemorate the 155th death anniversary of U Kiang Nangbah. MLA Paul Lyngdoh will deliver a speech on the occasion. The other programmes will include a cultural and musical performance by Seng Khasi Upper Shillong, Silbi Passah and Rikune.
