Lucknow: Appealing to the electorate to gift her again full majority in the Assembly elections on her 56th birthday on January 15, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today warned the opposition parties to beware of their provocative statements against her family members and party leaders.

“BJP and other parties have launched a conspiracy to defame the party by taking the names of my family members and other relatives of the party leaders which will not be tolerated at any cost,” Ms Mayawati said while addressing a rally on the occasion of the Muslim, Khatriya and Vaishya bhaichara committee here.

“BJP leaders are disclosing the companies of my family members and of my brother Satish Chandra Mishra which is not their work.

If there are any irregularities then Income Tax department or other Central agencies should seek clarification from them,” she added.

“Why the BJP is so much interested in these things and if they don’t stop such acts then BSP workers would do the same against the BJP leaders,” she announced.

In her over 75 minutes’ speech, Ms Mayawati said BJP and the Congress had never done anything to bring the black money stacked out of the country.

BJP had alleged that Ms Mayawati’s brother and BSP general secretary Satish Misra’s son were involved in scam worth crore of rupees by floating fake firms.

She said her government has never compromised on corruption-related issues and had even sought resignation from several ministers over the issue.

The CM asked the electorate to celebrate her 56th birthday on in their homes and said her real gift from them would be “absolute majority in the Assembly polls.” (UNI)
