Meghalaya BJP leader Rumnong quits

SHILLONG: State executive member of BJP, Meghalaya Pradesh and in-charge of South West Khasi Hills, Predecessor Rumnong has tendered his resignation to the state president of the party, Shibun Lyngdoh on Wednesday.

He did not cite any reason for his resignation. “I have been working for the party for the last three and a half years,” he told The Shillong Times.

 Asked, Rumnong said that he would take his supporters into confidence while taking a decision to join another political party. “My supporters have worked hard to bring changes in Pynthorumkhrah. For now, I don’t know which party to join,” he added.
