State youth urged to go outside to get skilled

SHILLONG : A call for the youth in Meghalaya to open up their minds by venturing outside the state in search of green pastures to be equipped with required skills for employment.
This was an appealed made by Principal Secretary, KN Kumar during a “rojgar mela” or job mela was organized by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) at Ramkrishna Mission Vivekanand Cultural Institute on Monday.
He urged the youth to move out of the state to gain experience and come back to the state to invest to be a “job creator instead of a job seeker.”
Speaking about the job mela, Kumar said said that youth need to have technical skills which will be sufficient for them to get necessary employment in the services sector.
