SHILLONG: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of People’s Democratic Front (PDF) released the names of five more poll candidates in the fourth list on Friday.
With the release of the fourth list, the number of candidates fielded by the regional party has come to a total of 26 candidates with the exception of Nartiang constituency wherein the PDF candidate, Draishon Kharshiing resigned from the party to join the BJP.
BJP has also declared Kharshiing as its candidate from Nartiang constituency in the first list of party candidates released on Friday.
The PDF candidates whose names were declared on Friday are : Heipormi Laloo from Mookaiaw, Patboone Syngkli from Nongpoh, Lamboklang Mylliem from Jirang, Donkupar Lyngdoh from Mawphlang and Pynshngainlang Syiem from Mawsynram.
It may be mentioned that Syiem who is the chairman of the PDF is also the chief ministerial candidate from the party.
