SHILLONG: The state election committee of Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) has declared party president, Ardent Basaiawmoit as the candidate of the party from Nongkrem constituency.
In a statement issued here by the secretary of state election committee, Nolip Lyngdoh, the party has decided the name of Basaiawmoit on Thursday.
So far the HSPDP has declared the names of 13 candidates. Sources in the party said that it was not the HSPDP president tofinal list as there were some other candidates that the committee was
scrutinizing.
