LJP to focus on  a few seats in Meghalaya hustings

SHILLONG: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) national spokesperson and national youth president, Sanjay Saraf said that the party would concentrate on electoral battle in 5-8 seats even as the party is holding talks with other potential candidates.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, he said that names of candidates would be clear after scrutiny by the party’s election committee. He added that only one candidate from Mawlai, Donlang Nongbri has filed his nomination.

Saraf said if the candidates were elected they would address issues plight of BPL families as the benefits that the schemes of Consumer Affairs Ministry did not reach the poor masses, issues of border dispute will also be in the focus of the candidates besides other issues in the state.
