Suspected illegal coal traders arrested in Assam

GUWAHATI: Assam police on Tuesday seized two vehicles – a dumper (ML 11/4666) loaded with suspected stolen coal and a Gypsy (ML 4C 4666) accompanying the dumper — from Khetri police station area in Kamrup district of Assam and arrested four suspected illegal coal traders and recovered Rs 1.64 lakh from their possession.

A police source informed that the apprehended persons were identified as Iso Suwer and Banjied Lapasam of Khlihriat west, Hahunbail Shylla of Pyrtakuna in Meghalaya  and Andrew Kro of Rongjangphong of Hamren. They are being interrogated by the police.
