IGNOU
The regional director of IGNOU has informed that all candidates of exam centre 1807D, K. J.P. Synod that the centre has been shifted to Women’s College, Laitumkhrah, Shillong-03 from Wednesday till the end of the examinations.
Dry day
The DC (Excise), East Khasi Hills District has declared a dry day on Wednesday throughout the District on account of Curfew being imposed.
The DC, West Khasi Hills District also declared Wednesday as dry day in the whole of the district. All liquor shops, bars, out stills etc shall remain closed on the above mentioned dates.
Rainfall warning
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warn-ing whereby heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya on Wednesday and Thursday.
