Body found
On June, one Hiranmoy Aditya (57) was found lying unconscious at GS Road, Shillong and was shifted to Civil Hospital where the attending MO declared him brought dead.
Theft
Jolein M Marak lodged a complaint that on June 9 around 1.30 am, one Dhiren Sangma stole two batteries from a truck (ML-08E-1233) parked at Dirare Service Station, Dakopgre, Tura (WGH). Police arrested the accused and recovered the stolen batteries.
On June 7 night, miscreants broke into the grocery godown of Benial Baidhya at Madan Laban, Shillong and stole edible items valued around Rs. 53,710.
On June 7, miscreants broke into the shop of Jatra Barman at Bholaganj market (EKH) and stole eight cell-phones and cash Rs. 28,000.
On June 1, miscreants broke into the house of Mebalaiahun Kharumnuid at Rngijynriew, Nongthymmai, Shillong and stole one gold necklace worth Rs. 1,36, 000 and cash RS. 5,000.
Assault
On June 9 around 4 pm, four persons, viz., Satjon S Sangma, Ilnet R Marak, Milton Ch Marak and Nicky Ch Marak assaulted Alpoin G Marak (31) at Thakuranbari village (SWGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at CH Ampati. Matter is under enquiry.
