TURA: Lecturers from the three out of the seven ad-hoc colleges in Meghalaya recently met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma at his office chamber in Shillong.
The delegation presented a memorandum to the chief minister urging him to look into the matter of extending the provisions of the 5th pay commission to the staff of the adhoc colleges. They also informed the chief minister that timely dispensation of the financial benefits of the 5th Pay Commission would only boost the morale of the staff of the Ad-hoc Colleges.
According to the delegation, the chief minister asked the delegates to accord him time to consult the requisite departments and accordingly address the issue.
