Five cops injured in stone pelting

SHILLONG: Five police personnel sustained injuries and two vehicles requisitioned by the police were damaged when a mob started pelting stones on them at Tyllap in East Khasi Hills on Sunday.
The incident happened when police personnel from Tyllap Outpost conducted a vice raid at Tyllap and recovered two buckets of illicit liquor from the house of Baidya Barman.
Later, a mob pelted stones and assaulted the police personnel. Five cops sustained injuries while two requisitioned vehicle (ML05 N 9299) and (ML05 P 7991) were partially damaged.
