SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to urge the Meghalaya Rural Bank (MRB) to not proceed with the appointment of Posts Officer Scale 1 and Office Assistants.
In a statement, the general secretary of HYC, Roy Kupar Synrem said that persons applying for such posts should know Khasi and Garo languages. HYC wants the Centre to remove the language clause so that local youths can get jobs.
