WW-II era bomb found in East Khasi Hills

SHILLONG: An unexploded bomb from the World War II was discovered by two famers at Mawshubuit Nongrim in East Khasi Hills.
Police said that on Saturday around 11 am, Rosewell Nongkhlaw and Helius Kharkongor, residents of Mawshubuit Nongrim were working in their paddy field when they came across the bomb.
The bomb was later handed over to the Meghalaya Police Bomb Squad for safe disposal.
Police informed that the bomb, which was defused safely, was probably deployed from an aircraft during the Second World War.
