Teachers’ meet
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association South West Khasi Hills District Unit will hold its general meeting on July 21 at Women’s Hostel, Mawkyrwat at 11 am.
Clarification
The president of the Meghalaya Football Association, Arki Nongrum has clarified that the recent screening of the FIFA world Cup final at Polo Ground was managed by Infinity Solutions and not the association. It may be mentioned that Nongrum is the founder of the Infinity Solutions.
Financial assistance
The Monitoring Cum Implementation Committee (MCIC) of South Shillong constituency in a meeting held on Tuesday has decided to extend financial help to certain sections of the society amounting to over 12 lakh under the discretionary grants and salary of MLA Sanbor Shullai, who is also the chairman of the committee. The committee will provide financial support to BPL families, BPL students, provide medical treatment for fire victims, cancer patients, disabled/mentally unsound patients, among 86 beneficiaries.
Competition winners
93.5 Red FM It’s Rocking has announced the winners of the U Trot Sing Khlawait ka Ri competition for various categories. The winners for the painting competition in the junior category are Armanki War, Larisha Kharshilot and Manuel L Rynghang. Special prizes for differently-abled (Bethany Society) in the painting competition are Michael Thabah and Sabbir Alam. While winner of the singing competition is Aaron Pyngrope, Sienmang Sohra emerged winner of the phawar.
Behdeinkhlam
The All Jaintia Youth Welfare Organisation has wished the people of Sein Raij Tuber a happy Behdeinkhlam. “May the God almighty bring peace, health and wealth to one and all through this annual festival”, the organisation said.
