Raj Bhavan to be opened
In connection with Independence Day 2018, the Raj Bhavan will be kept open for the general public on August 14 and 15 (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Weather warning
The Indian Meteorological Department issued a weather warning whereby heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated placed over Assam and Meghalaya from July 28 to 31.
Clarification
The news captioned “Wansuk seeks Centre help to solve NEIGRIHMS problems” which appeared in ST ( July 27) quoted the Member of Parliament about the Director’s absence during the doctors strike. This was reported in the media and the Director was actually absent. The MP did not say that the Director was absent during the strike.
