RESUBELPARA: A farewell party was organised for DGP S.B. Singh at 2nd MLP Bn. Complex Goeragre, Tura in west Garo Hills on Tuesday.
The party was attended by all DSPs, SPs, Commandants, DIG Western Range sector.
On the occasion K.D. Momin, founder of the Peace Club gifted a Garo jacket to the DGP and said, “This is a very small gift but we are giving as the symbol of love and respect to you, for your wonderful leadership in which we are the part.”
The people of Meghalaya will always remember the works achieved by DGP Singh in bringing back peace in the State and especially in Garo Hills region. The mass surrender of the militants took place only through ‘the applying of do no harm method’.
