Awareness prog on devp schemes held

NONGSTOIN: The office of District Public Relation Officer, Nongstoin organized Special interactive programme (SIP) at Nonglang village West Khasi Hills district on Thursday.

The aim of the programme was to create awareness among villagers about the various developmental schemes of both the Central and state governments.

Addressing the programme as the chief guest, W. Nongsiej, ADM, Nonsgtoin briefed the gathering about different developmental schemes. He gave stress on proper implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Schemes (MGNREGS) in the district.

Other officers from various departments of West Khasi Hills spoke about different other schemes implemented in rural areas.

The programme was attended by hundreds of villagers, Headmen, and officers from Block Development office, Mawshynrut, district Agricultural Officer, Nongston, District Horticulture, Nongstoin, District Soil & Water Conservation Officer, Nongstoin, District Health & medical Officer, Nongstoin, District Programme Officer (ICDS) Nongstoin and District Project officer (MNREGA) Nongstoin.
