Hek meets Rijiju over noise pollution

NEWDELHI: Minister for Information and Public Relations A L Hek on Thursday met Union Minister for Home, Kiren Rijju and raised the problem of the scores of the local residents due to the noise that emits from the firing range in his constituency.
Hek pointed out that the firing ranges at Mawpat, Langkyrding and Mihngi emit loud noise in odd hours affecting children and the elderly. He demanded if the same can be noise free to which Rijju replied that the cost will be exorbitant. Hek wanted the shooting site to be shifted to some other suitable place.
