He appealed to the indigenous community to stand united against the growing concern over illegal migrants.
Checking of trading, labour licences
The Meghalaya People’s United Front-East Jaintia Hills district (MPUF-EJHD) led by president Michael Chyrmang demanded that the JHADC should inspect trading and labour licences of non-tribals in East Jaintia Hills, especially in Lad Rymbai, Soo Kilo, cement factories and the adjacent areas.
The non-tribals operate business without trading and labour licences while others do not renew their documents, a statement issued here said.
The organisation informed that CEM Madonbai Rymbai and EM in charge of trade Laitsing Shylla said they would take up the issue.MPUF-EJHD has also raised concerns over influx as a result of the NRC process in Assam.
