Man gets 3-yr RI in 2015 POCSO case

SHILLONG: A court of special POCSO judge has sentenced a man to three years of rigorous imprisonment for molesting a minor girl in 2015.
East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said Victor Rynjah molested the girl on August 1, 2015, at her residence at Malki Wakadait in the city. A case was registered at Laitumkhrah police station. The accused was charge-sheeted under Section 7/8 of the POCSO Act and during the trial, the POCSO court found him guilty. In its order on August 2, the court, besides three-year imprisonment, slapped a fine of Rs 1,000.
