Cabinet ministers get I-Day duties

SHILLONG: The State Cabinet has finalised the names of ministers who would take the salute on Independence Day.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed that Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will take the salute in Shillong while in Nongstoin, Health and Family Welfare Minister A L Hek will conduct the ceremony.
Urban Affairs Minister Hamletson Dohling will head to Nongpoh for taking the salute while Transport Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar will take the salute in Jowai.
Tynsong will visit Williamnagar for the occasion while Revenue and Disaster Minister Kyrmen Shylla will be in Baghmara.
PHE Minister Samlin Malngiang will be in Resubelpara on Independence Day, Home Minister James Sangma will be in Ampati and Sports Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh will visit Khliehriat to take the salute.
