SHILLONG: The court of the first class judicial magistrate DG Kharshiing on Monday reserved the order on Salahuddin Ahmed, former Bangladesh minister who entered India illegally three years ago.
The former PM Khaleda Zia’s close associate and Bangladesh Nationalist Party general secretary was found wandering at Pynthorumkhrah locality in May 2015.
Police had arrested him for entering India without valid documents.
Ahmed had claimed that he was kidnapped by some unidentified persons in Bangladesh and dumped in Shillong blindfolded.
The lower court was to deliver the judgment on Monday but it was reserved, said a lawyer dealing with the case.
